Hi, I’m Murphy.
After many years of corporate burnout, feeling disconnected from my sense of self, and neglecting to take care of my physical and mental health, I came to Pilates tight, weak, and searching for a movement practice that made sense in my body.
Winning three private Pilates classes in a raffle was life-changing for me. I started taking classes regularly and haven’t looked back. Pilates has given me the gift of a mind-body-spirit connection and a deeper appreciation for my body and all that it’s capable of. I believe in movement as a healing practice, not as punishment, and I care deeply about creating a safe environment for all bodies to practice Pilates.
In August 2026, I will complete the 600-hour Kinetic MKE Teacher Training Program under the tutelage of 3rd-generation teacher Trey Fry.
Today, I teach at Kinetic MKE and my small (but mighty!) home studio.
When I’m not teaching or working on my own practice, you’ll find me reading, spending time with my family, volunteering for Creative Mornings MKE, or advocating for the mission of Sojourner Family Peace Center.
